
Nova pantalla is the exhibition that recollects all the video games made in Barcelona.
A very leading industry in the city of Comtal.
The goal was to expose video games to a concept of beauty and sensitivity, with the light as conductive element, creating immersive and enveloping spaces with a big emotional charge.
The exhibition is structured in 6 zones and an access tunnel, that transports you to the digital world.

The first zone explains to us the diversity and quantity of projects made in Barcelona. This is exposed through a mapping projected in a plan with different sizes and adding layers.
The projections plays with showing a game in each layer or randomly projecting only one content in all the planes like a collapse.

The creator of the idea, the animator, the sound creator, the writer, the programmer… The room is configurated with pre made metallic modules reflecting the metaphor that most of the game are auto produced. Each modules expose the different elements for explaining its
theme multiple times in an interactive way with screens and projections. The room is also filled with a fading light going to orange from green passing by yellow.

The third room talks about the industry, setting as example 2 typologies of companies , Indi: a young independent studio, and AAA: a big international production.
The room is resolve with 2 big screens that explain 2 cases of success of the 2 typologies of companies.
A silver curtain is used as background for the content with graphics of different content related to it.
The colour light follows us through the space.



Once we have explained who and how, we explain why … We enter in the most important zone of the exhibition, a big immersion, with an infinity room.
A room with a LED screen wall of 3 meters high and 7 meters long with a mirror in all the planes of the room. Floor, walls and roof disappear and reflect the infinity projected in the mirror.



The sixth zone explains phone games and its democratization and its extended use in society.
A forest of totems with devices evoking a scaled phone explaining content, they reflect the massive use of the device.

The last zone talks to the community of gamers and creates a space for game for different videogames.
The room is tinted in blue and a big long table contains different devices where it is possible to play.
