Originally from Madrid, RELLENO arrives in Barcelona with its first flagship store, presenting a fast-pasta concept focused on filled pasta. This choice ensures the product arrives in optimal condition to customers’ homes via delivery. In this space, design and gastronomy merge to create an environment where concepts such as futurism, iconic design, comfort, fashion, immersion, and curation come together.
RELLENO is characterized by its sophistication, aspirational tone, connection to fashion, and strong digital presence. With the opening of its new flagship, the brand seeks to maintain and amplify these defining values. Although it already has a solid track record in the digital and delivery spheres in Madrid, this new location represents its first physical space, allowing the brand to fully express everything it stands for.

RELLENO has always been closely linked to fashion-related concepts. Just as fashion brands often create neutral spaces to highlight their garments, RELLENO seeks to create an environment that allows its product to stand out. To achieve this, a neutral yet bold space was designed, where color becomes prominent through the packaging itself, thereby highlighting the product.
The brief was to create a space that faithfully reflected RELLENO’s values, with special emphasis on its identity connected to the fashion world and the concept of “filling.” To that end, architectural elements were designed to be not only aesthetically pleasing but also to tell the brand’s story through form and materials.

A key element of the project is the creation of "rellenos" (which means “fillings” in Spanish)—cushions filled with foam and covered with a sustainable, metallic Italian fabric. These elements form an enveloping grid that runs throughout the space, creating an immersive and easily recognizable atmosphere. Each piece symbolizes the “filling” process that defines the brand, establishing a direct connection between the product and the environment that houses it.
The layout of these elements forms a surrounding grid that runs throughout the space, creating an immersive and memorable atmosphere. This mesh of “rellenos” acts not only as a decorative element but also symbolizes the act of filling—central to RELLENO’s culinary concept. Each piece, through its shape and materiality, evokes the idea of filled pasta, establishing a direct link between the product and the space that contains it.

This design approach not only highlights the brand's identity but also transforms the space into a tangible extension of its culinary proposal, where every detail reinforces the customer’s experience and connection with the RELLENO concept.

The venue is spread over two floors. Upon entering the main level, visitors encounter a space with a five-meter-high ceiling. To the right are digital kiosks for placing orders, maintaining the brand’s strong connection with the digital world. To the left is a counter designed to encourage human interaction, reflecting the brand’s desire to connect directly with customers in this first physical location. Both the counter and back counter are made of stainless steel, a material that complements the brand’s sophistication. An inox lamp by French artist MLK Furniture hangs over the bar, suspended from the ceiling at a height of four meters.

As you move further in, the ceiling lowers to three meters, creating a room within a room, filled with metallic "rellenos." On the right, customers can sit on poufs made from the same fabric; on the left, a dispenser cabinet packed with "rellenos" features numbered slots from 1 to 8, where customers can pick up their orders. A bit further in, a small bar offers a space to enjoy the delicious pasta on site.
Lighting plays a fundamental role in this project. Starting from a neutral base, the designers added metallic fabric "rellenos" combined with stainless steel elements, all within a carefully curated color palette. The brand’s signature orange color permeates the space, creating vibrant reflections through the fabric. At the end of the space, both before going upstairs and once on the upper level, a lightbox bathes the space in this characteristic hue. These RGB luminaires can change color depending on the moment, an event, or a collaboration with another brand.

On the upper floor, a large custom-made sofa takes center stage, wrapping around the space and crafted from the same fabric. Surrounding it are circular stainless steel tables with stools designed by MLK Furniture specifically for RELLENO. The ceiling continues the grid of “rellenos,” and the walls feature mirrors and RGB lighting fixtures, creating an engaging interplay of light and reflections. At the center, an existing pillar has been clad in stainless steel and transformed into a table, topped with stainless steel and surrounded by orange stools. This area also plays with light, allowing for color changes depending on the desired atmosphere.
The bathroom, painted entirely in orange—the brand’s signature color—features a play of mirrors and lights that complements the overall design. Opposite the bathroom, a wall with a circular opening looks into the staircase, offering a glimpse of the lighting effects on the upper floor. This opening is accompanied by a lamp from Ingo Maurer.

Finally, the lighting integrated into the "rellenos" is especially noteworthy. A metallic-toned spotlight emerges from the center of the junction between four “rellenos,” merging seamlessly in both shape and color. In the dispenser slots and at the bar area, LED strips also bathe the space in orange light, reinforcing the brand’s visual identity.
